Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center (FIAC) is hosting On Their Own: The 2nd Annual Conference on Unaccompanied Immigrant Children Please join us in Miami from May 17-19, 2007 for this interactive two and a half day conference. In addition to discussing immigration relief and advocacy for unaccompanied immigrant children, we will be working together to strengthen the network of those interested in unaccompanied immigrant children’s issues.
The Freedom Network 2007 Conference, a yearly conference for trafficking victims’ advocates, will occur right before this conference on unaccompanied immigrant children. The Freedom Network’s conference will run from May 15- 17, 2007. Both conferences will overlap on May 17. If interested, register for both conferences and receive a discount!
The Unaccompanied Immigrant Children’s Conference will include multi-track offerings of workshops, panel discussions, and plenary sessions. Some sessions will be geared towards the newer practitioner, others towards the more advanced practitioner. We will be applying for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits for Florida. Conference topics include:
